Thruology ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Thruology mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described herein.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including: your email address and password when creating an account; profile information such as your display name, username, avatar, and optional bio; responses to optional healing prompts; journal entries you create; community posts and comments; and any messages you send to other users. We do not collect your legal name, phone number, or payment details directly — payments are handled by Apple or Google.

3. Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain information including: device type and operating system; app version; usage data and feature interactions; crash reports and performance data; and push notification token (only if you grant permission). We use this information to improve the App's performance and user experience.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the App; personalize your experience and deliver content relevant to your healing journey; process transactions and send related information; send push notifications (only with your permission); respond to your comments and questions; monitor and analyze usage patterns; and ensure the safety and security of our community.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with: service providers who assist in our operations (such as Supabase for database hosting), under strict confidentiality agreements; law enforcement or government authorities when required by law; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case you will be notified.

6. Community Content

Content you post publicly in the Thruology community (posts, comments) is visible to other users of the App. Your display name and avatar will be associated with your community activity. Your journal entries are private and visible only to you. Direct messages are visible only to you and the recipient.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings, which will delete your personal data subject to any legal retention requirements. Some anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Your data is stored using Supabase, which employs industry-standard encryption and security practices. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete such information.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to our processing of your data; and data portability. 11. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications to your device to notify you of friend requests, messages, and other activity. You can manage push notification preferences within the App's notification settings or through your device's system settings at any time.

12. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including: Supabase (database and authentication), Apple App Store and Google Play (payment processing), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Expo (app delivery). Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
